BREEAM Assessment

  • What is a BREEAM Assessment?

The Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology (BREEAM) is the world’s longest established method of assessing, rating and certifying the sustainability of buildings and is increasingly used for commercial development projects in Jersey.

Our team of Ecologists have the expertise to advise how best to maximise the achievable credits. Contact us to discuss your site's BREAAM potential.

  • How do they work?

As part of a BREEAM assessment, 10 credits (10% of the overall total) are available for the Land Use and Ecology section of the assessment, which is broken down into the following sub-sections below:

    • LE 01 Site Selection

    • LE 02 Ecological Value of Site and Protection of Ecological Features

    • LE 03 Minimising Impact on existing Site Ecology

    • LE 04 Enhancing Site Ecology

    • LE 05 Long Term Impact on Biodiversity

We have worked closely with the Nurture Ecology Team over a number of years. In all instances, we have found the Team to be very professional and willing to assist. Their knowledge base of the requirements and the rigours associated with the Natural Environment and Planning requirements have often proved to be a real asset to the delivery of complex projects
